High Res Texture DLC Headed To Monster Hunter: World On PC

Capcom is setting up to release a massive update to PC players of Monster Hunter World that brings a variety of performance fixes and high-resolution textures. There’s a full list of details that can found on the game’s Steam page, or you can view them below:

  • Added support for High Resolution Texture Pack DLC. You can change to high resolution in-game textures by downloading this pack as free DLC from the Steam store. Note: The High Resolution Texture Pack requires at least 40GB of free space and 8GB of graphic memory (VRAM). We will provide more detailed information on the system requirements after the update.
  • Added a “TAA+FXAA” option to Anti-Aliasing in the Advanced Graphics Settings.
  • When selecting “Take All” at the rewards screen after completing a quest, a list of all items received will now be displayed.
  • Added a new mouse control type that is less sensitive to unintentional movement when controlling the Focus Camera with the mouse.
  • Added a “Friends Can Join” option to the Private Session Settings.
  • Various bug fixes, including localization-related issues.

As stated above, this new massive update will require a large helping of 40GB of free space on your hard drive and a VRAM consisting of 8GB.

Along with improving the texture quality, Monster Hunters will also receive various quality of life features, such as listing the items you’ve received after hunts, a “Friends Can Join” co-op option and numerous unnamed bug fixes.

According to the Steam page we can expect to see this update go live on April 4, 2019 as update 5.2.

Monster Hunter World released early last year for the PS4 and Xbox One, and later in the year for PC.
