IO Interactive has just announced that Hitman 3 will be launching on PC exclusively on the Epic Games Store. The newest entry in the Hitman franchise will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and next-gen consoles.
IO Interactive confirmed that thanks to their agreement with Epic Games Store, the 2016’s Hitman will be free to keep for players on Epic Games’ Free Thursdays’ offers on August 27.
IO Interactive’s CEO Hakan Abrak shared a few words about how positive is their partnership with Epic Games “Self-publishing Hitman 3 is a big step for IO Interactive in achieving our highly ambitious goals as an independent studio. Furthermore, this partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create the game exactly as we imagined, for our fans and for our community uncompromised.” … “For long-term fans that have supported us on the World of Assassination journey, we’re happy to have mastery and location carryover from their existing progress into Hitman 3 on Epic Games Store.”

announced the last entry of the Hitman trilogy at PlayStation’s Future of Gaming event. Players can look forward to importing progression and maps from previous games into Hitman 3. All three games combined will include over 20 sandbox maps for players to explore and over 10 sniper locations. This will be the first Hitman game in the series developed and self-published by IO interactive, as previous games have been published by Eidos Montreal and Square Enix
