Developer Hoyoverse has announced that Honkai: Star Rail update 2.6 “Annals of Pinecany’s Mappou Age,” will launch on October 23. The update adds the five star Rappa, “a courageous and unique character ready to join the battlefield.” It also adds the limited 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine will make their return to the first and second halves of the Version 2.6 warp event, respectively. This update will take Trailblazers to Penacony’s prestigious Paperfold University, which is buzzing with excitement for a new semester and its anniversary celebrations. Players will also get their hands on the newest 5-star character, Rappa, a daring Galaxy Ranger. On top of that, the highly anticipated Simulated Universe DLC will also receive a massive and thrilling update.
As the recent Xianzhou adventure concludes, players will journey back to Penacony and visit its Paperfold University, a prestigious cosmic institution bustling with activity as it prepares for a new semester and its anniversary celebrations. The campus is alive with clubs recruiting new members, and music performances fill the air. For this special occasion, the university is hosting an exclusive academic seminar, and as notable figures and stakeholders in Penacony, the crew of the Astral Express has been invited as distinguished guests to partake in the festivities. In the Version 2.6 Trailblaze Continuance mission, Banana Outrage: Battles Without Ninja and Humanity, the Trailblazer will step into Paperfold University as an auditing student, fully immersing in the joys of campus life. Alongside peers like March 7th and Dan Heng, Trailblazers will not only delve into the rigors of academic pursuits but also cultivate meaningful relationships, enriching this one-of-a-kind scholastic adventure.
As Trailblazers immerse themselves in campus life, they’ll be able to meet a powerful new 5-star ally—Rappa, a courageous and unique character ready to join the battlefield. Rappa calls herself a ninja, attributing everything to the art of “ninjutsu.” Rappa recites ninja mantras, creates Dazzling Ninja Seals, and follows the Way of the Ninja through ninja scrolls, blending rap, graffiti, and comics. With strict self-discipline, she travels the stars upholding justice. As a Galaxy Ranger, Rappa is on a relentless mission to hunt down her nemesis, Evil Ninja Osaru, across the Cosmos. In battle, after unleashing her Ultimate, she will enter Sealform and unleash Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade in a special first-person view. During the attacks of Ningu: Demonbane Petalblade, Rappa is able to deal damage to groups of enemies efficiently, and can even reduce the Toughness of enemies without Imaginary Weakness. This version will bring a wave of exciting events. In “Sound Hunt Ninjutsu Inscription,” Trailblazers will be invited as a guest and step in as the band manager for the Dreamlight Anniversary music party, teaming up with Rappa and leading the band’s electrifying performances in the music party.
That aside, the limited 5-star characters Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae, Acheron, and Aventurine will make their return to the first and second halves of the Version 2.6 warp event, respectively. Their formidable support ensures they will remain powerful allies in your future adventures.
Meanwhile, Version 2.6 will introduce the much-anticipated third Simulated Universe DLC, following Swarm Disaster and Gold and Gears. This time, a massive void, the Unknowable Domain, has emerged within the Simulated Universe. It was initially simulating the Scholars’ Strife, a post-Second Emperor’s War event where scholarly factions battled for control of Emperor Rubert II’s legacy—the Scepter system. The Scepter, a cluster of inorganic bionic neurons, served as Rubert II’s external thinking unit with immense processing power. In this Simulated Universe update, Trailblazers will start by collecting Scepters and enhancing them with Components to strengthen their abilities. As the game progresses, players can strategically combine multiple Scepters and Components to unlock powerful synergies, eventually defeating a formidable final foe.
