After waiting for what felt like forever, Gamescom finally offered up a release date for the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive Horizon: Forbidden West. Those who were wondering when you could preorder the game, that answer is today! That’s right, at long last you can pre-order Horizon: Forbidden West as you await its release date of February 18, 2022.
Along with this announcement, several versions of the game were announced. From a Digital Deluxe version all the way to a crazy wooly mammoth robot statue. So without further ado, let’s go over the versions. First up we have the cross-gen Digital Deluxe edition:
This version will be available exclusively through the PlayStation Store (as the name might imply) and will cost $79.99. It will come with:
After that is the Special Edition:
It features a steel book with a physical copy of the game. Unlike the other versions of the game on this list it does not come with cross-gen and the console you buy it for is the only console you get it for. It also features a mini art book, a digital soundtrack, and a DLC costume. It will also cost $79.99.
Next up we have the collectors edition:
This version will cost $199.99 and include:
Unfortunately, it features a digital version of the game, which is done to allow players who purchase this version access to both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. That tremortusk looks pretty cool. This brings us to the final version of the game, the Regalla edition:
This one is the most expensive at $259.99. It is the must-have version for collectors as it comes everything, as well as the Tremortusk, featured in the gameplay showcased from earlier this year. It will also include a digital version of the game to allow for access to both console versions of the game. In total it includes:
Of course, you can also pre-order a standard version should you simply want to play that game. If you are interested in these other versions, supplies will not last so get them while you still can. Again, Horizon: Forbidden West will release on February 18, 2022.
