Horizon Zero Dawn Is Coming To PC

According to Kotaku’s Jason Schreier Sony is planning to release its PS4 exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn for PC this year. The information is still not official, as the information got to him by three insiders. The game is planned to release on Steam and Epic Games Store.

This news comes from three people familiar with Sony’s plans, all speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to talk to press. Sony did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

As pointed by Engadget Horizon Zero Dawn would be the second PS4 exclusive to release on PC. Kojima Productions announced that 505 Games will be tasked to port Death Stranding for PC. Both games are developed using Decima Engine, in this consideration, this leak is credible.

Horizon: Zero Dawn was a critical and commercial success, it’s creator Guerrilla Games, surprised everyone stepping out of their comfort zone of FPS and created an action RPG. The project is Guerrilla Games’ first intellectual property since Killzone in 2004. The game perhaps was outshine by the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which release on a similar date.

Horizon Zero Dawn was praised for it’s narrative, combat, and large open world. The game won multiple awards and its one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 games. Guerrilla Games shortly after launch released ‘The Frozen Wilds’ expansion.

“The story is set in the 31st century, in a world where humans live in scattered tribal-like populations with limited access to technology. Their technologically advanced predecessors are remembered as the “Old Ones.” Large robotic creatures, known merely as “machines”, now dominate the Earth.”

While Jason Schreier is a reliable source of information, no information has officially come from Sony, or Guerrilla Games, so, this leak should still be taken with a grain of salt.
