Injustice 2 Adds Doctor Fate to the Roster

Injustice 2 Adds Doctor Fate to the Roster

Warner Bros. Interactive and NetherRealm Studios have released a new trailer for Injustice 2 confirming Doctor Fate as a playable character.

The slightly-brighter-than-average DC character has been announced by the studio in a new trailer, seemingly because the character is playable over on the GDC show floor right now.

Dr Fate’s main form of attack seems to be magic-based – he’s got a very Egyptian vibe to him, from attacking with mysterious glyphs to using a massive golden ankh to stab his opponents. He seems very much like a zone control type character, working with ranged attacks and denying certain parts of the stage to enemies with levitating balls of magic and so forth.

Injustice 2 is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16.

Check out the Trailer:

According to comic lore, Doctor Fate has been a title that has been bestowed to a multitude of a different characters of the years. Doctor Fate is a powerful magic user that has a variety of ranged magical attacks at his disposal.

In this new trailer, we get to see Doctor Fate’s magic-based moveset in action against Superman, Cyborg, and Atrocitus, even including his elaborate super move, which has him transport his opponent to another dimension for a brutal beatdown.

Considering his immense power, it’s very likely that Doctor Fate will play a key role in the storyline for Injustice 2. This makes sense as he has often been depicted as an especially powerful character in the DC universe.
