Sony has confirmed that Playdead’s Inside is heading to PS4 on 23 August, roughly two months after it launched on Xbox One and PC.
Inside is a puzzle-platformer adventure video game developed and published by independent studio Playdead. It released earlier this year on Xbox One and PC to huge critical success; behind only Uncharted 4 this year so far. Hunted and alone, a boy finds himself drawn into the center of a dark project.
Like its predecessor Limbo, I expect to see Inside on as many devices as possible and now its PS4’s turn to be added. PLAYDEAD’s mysteriously inactive Twitter tweeted the news that it would be coming on August 23; along with a new trailer showcasing the critical praise of the game.
Check out the Trailer:
“In the game, players control a young boy who sneaks into an experimental facility. INSIDE keeps the player wondering what the plot of the game is, and builds up the suspense as the game progresses. While exploring the experimental facility, players will face several different puzzles, which they will have to solve in order to continue. Some of these puzzles, if not completed in time, can result in the protagonist’s death. At E3 2016, the puzzle platformer was named “Best Independent Game” at the Expo by the Game Critics Awards.”
