The retro based console from Intellivision – Amico – is set on providing a vintage gaming experiences both old and new to the industry. While we’ve only received a small dose of what to expect from the upcoming retro console, a recent announcement revealed that a large portion of the original Earthworm Jim team is creating a new title in the series exclusively for Intellivision’s new system.
According to the announcement, ten of the original team members will be working on the new game, including the series creator Doug TenNapel and series composer and Intellivision CEO, Tommy Tallarico.

If you’d like to learn more about the new Earthworm Jim game in development, Intellivision will be holding a live stream event on May 4, 2019 to detail more about the game. You may view the stream which airs at 3PM EST on their Facebook, Twitch and YouTube page.
The Amico console is set to release in October of 2020 supporting both old retro built-in titles and new games available on its exclusive online marketplace costing between $2.99 and $7.99 a piece. It will also feature Bluetooth controllers each with full-color touchscreen and motion controller input. The price of the Amico has been revealed to be between $149 and $179.
