GDC 2019 main conference finally got started and Google celebrated it’s entering to gaming industry by introducing Stadia, new streaming platform that lets you play any games on any device that you want. Stadia is the main story behind Project Stream that run a few months ago which lets gamers to play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on Google Chrome via streaming servers in Google’s data centers.
Stadia is a new platform that could change future of gaming devices, and for succeeding in such an ambitious mission, Google needs to support it’s platform through a lot of ways and one of them is producing some exclusive games within it’s first-party studios and Jade Raymond was happy to announce that she is going to lead Stadia Games and Entertainment, as the first official studio for the most valuable company of recent years.
According to Raymond, Stadia Games and Entertainment not only focuses on developing games, but also tries to provide some new features and capabilities for other third-party developers in expanding their games through Stadia’s abilities. She said:
There has never been a more exciting time to be a developer, and Stadia will be a driving force defining the future of games and entertainment.
Although the studio has been introduced to the audience, Raymond has revealed no upcoming game for the platform yet. However, Stadia will be available later 2019 and we hope to hear more about the studio and it’s projects maybe during E3 2019.
