Joker Looks Great In Super Smash Bros Ultimate Gameplay Reveal

The next update for Super Smash Bros Ultimate is nearing and with it will bring the first of 5 DLC characters to the table. Persona 5’s own lead Phantom Thief, Joker, will bring his flashy moves to the arena, as Nintendo launched a surprise Direct dedicated to showing off the new fighter.

The gameplay reveal shows off Joker’s persona Arsene in action, his knife wielding skills and the new stage that comes equipped with the new DLC – Mementos. Fans of Persona 5 will also be delighted to know that Joker comes with 11 tracks from the game, an alternate Shujin Academy outfit and an “All-Out Attack” as his Final Smash attack.

Along with the Joker update also comes the confirmation of the Stage Builder mode. Last week, a new TV commercial for Smash aired and some fans were able to point out the mode on the game’s menu screen in one of the shots during the trailer. It seems now the new mode has been officially confirmed as apart of the new version 3.0 update.

Also, new Mii costumes will be available to commemorate the arrival of Joker, with costumes like Morgana, the protagonists from Persona 3 and 4, as well as Sega’s Tails and Knuckles form the Sonic the Hedgehog series.

The new update is officially available today (April 17, 2019) allowing players to add joker to their roster as apart of the Fighter Pass, or separately for a cost of $5.99.
