Judgment Side Mission Guide Part 1 – Cats, Bombs, and a Missing Jacket

Judgment Side Mission Guide Part 1 – Cats, Bombs, and a Tiger Jacket

Judgment is the hard-boiled detective game where you explore the city of Kamurocho, based off the real-life city of Kabukicho. The city is big and has quite a bit of people to meet and missions to do. Here I will guide you through some friend events and side cases that may have troubled you at the beginning of the game.

Friend Event: Nekomiya’s Stray Cats

Near Nakamichi Alley, Yagami meets a young man named Nekomiya, and he takes care of all of the stray cats in Kamurocho. Unfortunately, a select few cats have strayed from Nekomiya’s grasp and he can’t seem to approach them due to his immense love for them, so it’s up to Yagami to go out and find them.

The first one is a calico, the only clue you get for this guy is that he’s nearby, just head south to this little corner next to Pink Street, and you’ll see this little guy smiling next to a door. Examine him, take your picture, and Nekomiya will point you to the next Cat.

The first cat is south of where you met Nekomiya.

The next cat is a Tabby and he’ll be hanging out in Little Asia. As soon as you enter the Little Asia lot, you’ll go into a cutscene and Yagami will bring out his drone, look to the southeast corner and you’ll see him on top of this scaffolding just lounging around.

The tabby is seen up here, on top of this scaffolding.

After that, you need to look for a black cat around Pink Street. As Nekomiya says, the cat is very popular with the ladies so you’re probably thinking of exploring all of the cabaret clubs. Don’t do that because he’s not in any of the stores. Instead head down to the very edge of the Pink Street entrance and you’ll see the cute black cat talking to Cat-Loving lady. Talk to her and watch the events unfold with Nekomiya meeting the nice young lady who shares the same hobby as him.

The black cat is right here in front of a lady.

Side Case: Kamuro Mad Bomber

To start of the string of missions that involve some random bombings around Kamurocho, enter the area West of Pink Street Entrance and go down the alleyway to the side case on the map. As soon as you walk in, a bomb explodes nearby and Yagami senses another one in the alleyway. To find the bomb you simply have to look around and listen for the beeping of the bomb. So simply walk forward and find the bomb behind a car next to this propane tank.

After disarming it and saving the child nearby, Yagami gets a mysterious phone call from the bomber himself. He tells you that there’s one more bomb and you need to look for it. The only clue he gives you is a riddle, saying, “You’ll find it in the angel of the warrior’s maze.”

Now this clue may be perplexing as some people just aren’t ready for a wild goosechase around town to look for one bomb, but this riddle is actually pretty simple, at least if you know the names of Kamurocho’s districts. The bomb itself can be found within the Champion District near the Earth Angel bar.

Now sprint your way to the Champion District and swiftly take out any ruffians who get in your way as 5 minutes is pretty generous if you’re heading straight there, so no problem. As soon as you’re near Earth Angel, the bomb will be handled swiftly through a cutscene and the Mad Bomber will call you and will tell you that you’ll see him again. In the meantime, get yourself a drink from this nice lady at Earth Angel and rest up for the next mission.

Side Case: Tiger Jacket

A man named Akagawa has lost his prized “Tiger Jacket” along with his wallet and watch. The jacket is pretty important to him, so you’ll have to get that back at the very least, fortunately the mission is pretty straight forward, but will require you to buy a few items. Akagawa tells you that he got his bag swiped at the northwest Children’s Park so you should head there first.

As soon as you enter the park a couple of homeless guys are seen chilling out. They definitely saw who took the bag that was left there, but they want two bentos in order to tell you that. Luckily they tell you to go to the Poppo nearby. Just buy a Bento Lunch set along with a Pork Tonkatsu Bento to seal the deal.

So bring the Bento back and return to the homeless men. They’ll tell you that a bunch of local punks swiped the bag and ran off, but they aren’t exactly specific on where the punks went. Luckily if you did the Panty Thief mission for Yosuke and his sister, he’ll point you towards the batting center.

So run to the batting center to meet three people who look like a bunch of hooligans near the batting center’s crane machines. When you talk to them, they’ll straight up lie to your face and tell you that they never saw a yellow bag with a jacket in it. Well using your detective skills you can confront them again and tell them that you never told them that it was a yellow bag. Now they’ll get a bit upset and want more proof that they stole the bag in the first place.

As you get into casing mode, move immediately to the right outside the window and take a look at a Stray Cat next to a traffic cone. Then get it out of the way and look back at the punks. You’ll see that the blonde guy is wearing a yellow watch. Confront him about it again and tell him that the owner’s initials are carved on the watch. He’ll believe this and look at the watch. After tricking the punks, they’ll get into a fight with you. They’re not the toughest guys around, so take them out quickly.

Look outside to the right and find this loud-meowing cat.

After beating them, they’ll tell you that they only took the wallet and the watch and dropped the bag in the Champion District.  Well head over there for another obstacle, you’ll come across an empty bag and a barker will tell you that only “homeless people” look through bags. So head to the northeast corner of the district to find a homeless man staring at a wall who is clearly wearing the jacket with a tiger on it with the word, “Tiger” stitched onto the back. The homeless man simply won’t give you the jacket as he says that he will go “cold in the night.”

This man needs a new jacket.

This means that he wants a replacement and the mission doesn’t point you to anywhere. Well go to Don Quijote where you found Yagami’s first disguise and buy the Warm Clothes. Return to the homeless man and trade in your nice jacket for the ugly Tiger Jacket. Afterwards Akagawa will be grateful that you got him the Jacket and will give you your pay. Just don’t tell him that you got it from a guy who hasn’t washed in a while.
