It looks like Just Cause 4 released its new Spring update that makes many improvements on the current game. In addition, the game will have a Los Demonios DLC coming in June 26 that will add a new demonic threat to the world.
According to Square Enix the update is a community update that addresses some complaints while making additional improvements to the game that include better lighting, better enemy AI, and more things to destroy!
They first improve the world’s lighting in order to improve the world’s visibility to players. According to the screenshots provided, the new lighting system will make the world more vibrant while looking less-drab.
Additionally the game’s antagonists, the Black Hand have improved vehicular AI. This means that vehicle combat will be an actual challenge rather than having mindless trucks mow you down. This also improves the AI’s dogfighting capabilities have improved as they’ll now attempt to dodge your shots, making them more of a threat.
Fortunately if you hate the Black Hand enough you can destroy the statues they’ve placed around the world using any thing you can. Also mobile chaos objects are being transported around Solis that can be destroyed with a well-placed explosive for maximum chaos. If that wasn’t enough, train bridges can be destroyed for those who’ve always wondered why these bridges were so durable in the first place.
Aside from the Spring Update, Square Enix also announces the Los Demonios DLC for the game. In this expansion, a Demonic force has invaded Solis. According to Square Enix, “the parasitic infestation now spreads across Solis, terrorizing its inhabitants and attacking any Black Hand forces that stand in its way.” Rico will now have access to a new demonic crossbow and demonic eggs to drop in his location to take on this new evil as well.
Los Demonios will be available on June 26 for the Gold Edition and through the Expansion Pass. For everyone else, it will be released on July 3, 2019.
