Ken, Incineroar and Piranha Plant are Joining the Roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Nintendo released today a Nintendo Direct that focused on giving viewers the last information about the upcoming popular fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In the Nintendo Direct, Masahiro Sakurai announced the last fighters that will be joining the Super Smash Bros. roster when the game launches. these fighters are the echo fighter Ken Masters and the Fire-type Pokémon Incineroar.

About Ken Masters

Ken Masters joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an echo fighter! While he shares similar moves with Ryu, he’s a little faster and based on his appearance in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, so watch out for his iconic flaming Shoryuken!

About Incineroar

Incineroar brings the heat to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! This Pokémon takes its inspiration from pro wrestling and uses powerful wrestling moves like Darkest Lariat and Max Malicious Moonsault! Think you’ve got what it takes for a title shot?

Sakurai also revealed that the development of new DLC fighters will begin after the games’ launch, making a total of 5 new DLC fighters, 5 stages and various music tracks. The first DLC fighter announced by Sakurai, was Piranha Plant, giving a glimpse of some gameplay footage in the Nintendo Direct.

About Piranha Plant

Piranha Plant takes root in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! This fighter will be available as an early-purchase bonus for players who purchase the game between 11/1 & 1/31. This fighter will arrive around February 2019, and look forward to a new amiibo figure on 2/15 as well!

Digital pre-orders will receive a code for the character automatically when it’s released, while players with physical copies of the game will need to register their purchase with their My Nintendo account to receive the code.

Additional fighters, stages, and music will be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate! All Fighters Pass content will be released by February 2020!

Players who purchase the Fighters Pass will also receive a Rex-themed Mii Swordfighter costume and additional music tracks from the Xenoblade Chronicles series!
