Great news horror fans, game developer IMGN.PRO has announced today that their adventure horror game Kholat is finally coming to the PS4, this is one of the most interesting horror games that I have seen in a while, it uses the formula of games such as Dear Esther and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and adds horror elements to create an immersive story driven FPS horror game coupled with impressive visuals that are accomplished thanks to the power of Unreal Engine 4 which was used to develop this amazing looking game.
Check out the trailer of the game below:
The game is currently scheduled to be release on March 8 2016 for PS4 systems, there has been no mention of an Xbox One port as of yet.
“Created by IMGN.PRO and narrated by Sean Bean – Kholat is an exploration adventure game with elements of horror inspired by the event known as Dyatlov Pass Incident. The player will plunge directly into the boundless scenery of the inhospitable Ural Mountains with the task to find out what really happened.
The date of this announcement is not accidental – today marks exactly 57 years since infamous Dyatlov Pass Incident, which served as our main inspiration during the creation of Kholat.
It was the event that took the lives of 9 Russian students, hiking the Ural Mountains, on the night of February 2nd 1959. The real cause of this tragedy is still unknown, with many hypothesis arising during the years.”
