Kingdom Come: Deliverance Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

During the Koch Primetime Livestream today, the team at Warhorse Studios, announced that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is coming to the Nintendo Switch. The large open-world, medieval knight game was not planned for the switch initially however taking to stream it was explained how this came to pass.

According to devs, back in 2020 when the release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition was announced for japan somebody made the mistake of selecting switch for platforms it was released on. This at the time of course was not true however the rumor that it was going to appear on the Switch took off. After a while, the excitement that was showcased could not be ignored and the team decided to begin porting it. They made a very clear point to let fans know they were responsible for the port.

The title first appeared on Kickstarter in 2014, after failing to generate buzz among potential investors. After hitting its goal it would take 4 years to see its full release. While not the perfect game there is a lot to love in this title.

Set in Bohemia in 1403, you play Henry, the son of a blacksmith. When his town is attacked and burned to the ground he is forced to leave his life, eventually becoming a knight. The game takes a painstaking look at attempting to recreate the time period for the player to explore. When released the game received mixed reviews upon release. And of course, there was massive criticism of the lockpicking on launch, which was fixed soon after.

Unfortunately, they have not given any other information on the game, such as which version of the game is releasing or when. Hopefully, we learn when we can walk the path to chivalry on the go, soon.
