Kingpin Reloaded Announced For PC and Consoles

Developer 3D Realms today revealed a remastered edition of the 1999 Kingpin. Kingpin Reloaded takes the polemic first person shooter on levels of definition never imagined before. The game pushed the boundaries of what could be displayed on a videogame thanks to its foul language and violence.  The game will release for PC and consoles later this year.

Kingpin: Reloaded runs under Quake II engine boasting up to 4K resolution, ultrawide support and a ‘Enhanced Mode’ that improves the graphics.A ‘No Violence Mode’ is also available for people sensible to gore. However, the “colorful” language used by Kingpin’s gangsters remains.

Stalk lamp-lit streets and take down rival gangs to let the Kingpin know his end is nigh. Kingpin’s immersive sim elements allow the Thug to recruit other gangsters with a conversation system. Increase the Thug’s influence through multiple hub-based missions. Run with the gang on a violent warpath with upgradeable weapons including Tommy guns, bazookas, and more. Location-based damage leads to bloody, thrilling battles: kneecap, maim, or go for the head.”

Kingpin is an adult game that tells the story of a low-level thug, this guy is beaten up by one of the Kingpin’s lieutenants. Now it’s up to the player to start a vendetta and kill everyone in his path.
