Koei Tecmo’s Berserk ‘Guts’ Action Gameplay

Koei Tecmo’s Berserk ‘Guts’ Action Gameplay

This new trailer is very short and doesn’t show a whole lot. It shows our protagonist Guts hacking through hordes of enemies, and in typical Berserk fashion, it’s incredibly bloody. If you’re one of the very few who imported the PS2 game twelve years ago, you should get flashbacks from this video.

Omega Force is doing a very good job in capturing the spirit of the series created by Kentaro Miura while keeping in line with the typical gameplay experience of the Dynasty Warriors series and its many spin-off titles. Not too difficult, considering how many enemies Guts has cut down in his long journey through the darkness.

Berserk is due out for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita at retail, and PlayStation 3 via download, in Japan on September 21, and for PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PC in North America and Europe on an unannounced date.

Check out the Trailer:

“As we take down more and more enemies, our characters will become more enraged, allowing their attacks to get more powerful and players will even be able to cut enemies in half. The game will also feature boss battles against the Apostles, which are basically demons hell-bent on ravaging the earth. Of course, when playing as Guts, players will also be able to switch between his giant Dragonslayer sword and the iconic crossbow on his left arm.”
