Kojima Productions logo movie revealed

Kojima Productions logo movie revealed

Hideo Kojima unveiled the logo movie for his studio Kojima Productions, featuring the studio’s mascot Ludens, who Kojima has revealed was modelled after himself (a fact he claims to find a little creepy). It’s interesting to note that the video contains a whale, almost certainly a reference to Moby Dick, which was a major plot point of Metal Gear Solid V.

Additionally, while the panel was light on details regarding the upcoming game ‘Death Stranding’, it was revealed that the sequence shown it the E3 trailer will be part of the main game when it eventually releases.

Unfortunately, no news on when we’ll get a release date, so the mystery of this game still looms.

Check out the Video:

“The clip is just about as ostentatious as you can possibly imagine, with mascot Ludens walking across a sea bed, before teleporting (?) to a different planet, and being pestered by a giant water whale.

Kojima said during a panel that his team started working on this after E3 2016, and that it’s supposed to communicate the idea of “fun” and “play”. It’s just looks really self-indulgent to us – and that’s why we adore it.”
