Hideo Kojima while at The 2016 Game Awards unveiled a new cryptic trailer for the upcoming PS4 game Death Stranding, the first game from Hideo Kojima after leaving Konami last year to turn Kojima Productions into an independent studio.
This new trailer shows off more of the mysterious world of Death Stranding, featuring the film director and producer Guillermo del Toro, hiding from soldiers and tanks, before revealing that the man is carrying a capsule with a glowing fetus inside.
Check the trailer down below:
“The footage then shifts to a group of skeletal soldiers being commanded by a black-oil-covered Mads Mikkelsen, who sees a battered baby doll before smiling at the camera to close the trailer. Kojima also tweeted out two new posters for the game following the trailer’s unveiling.
Kojima was attending the The Game Awards to receive this year’s Industry Icon Award, coming on the heels of Konami barring the developer from receiving an award in person for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain at last year’s awards.
As to what any of it means? Only time (and Hideo Kojima) can say for sure. Death Stranding has been confirmed for the PlayStation 4, but no release information has been announced.”
