Old-school Contra fans and arcade enthusiasts will be delighted to know that Konami has pulled back the curtain for their upcoming retro anniversary collection of Contra. While Konami has already released their Arcade Classics and Castelvania Anniversary Collections earlier this year, many die-hard fans are still awaiting the return of the classic run-n-gun play style of Contra.
Along with the original announcement of the trio of Anniversary Collections, Konami gave fans a small taste of some of the title to expect in the 10-game bundle. However now all titles have been revealed with the list of games as followed:
- Contra (Arcade)
- Contra (NES)
- Contra (Famicom)
- Super Contra (Arcade)
- Super C (NES)
- Contra III: The Alien Wars (SNES)
- Super Probotector: Alien Rebels (SNES)
- Contra: Hard Corps (Sega Genesis)
- Probotector (Sega Mega Drive)
- Operation C (Game Boy)
As you can tell, the Contra collection will take players through plenty of different iterations and versions throughout the early years of the series. From Arcade to NES to Game Boy, the Contra series seems to be well represented within the upcoming collection.
As of now, there has been no official release date for the Contra Anniversary Collection but has been announced with a summer 2019 release digital date for the PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
