Konami Reveals New TurboGrafx 16 Mini Console

It seems Konami is hopping on the mini console party with a recent announcement of the TurboGrafx 16 Mini console. The console has only revealed a small number of titles to be included on the mini console but may not be as jam-packed when compared to other mini consoles, such as the NES, SNES and upcoming Genesis, but of the revealed titles features some quality classics.

There’s actually three different region specific versions of the new mini console with the TurboGrafx 16 for North America, PC Engine Grafx Core for Europe while Japan is receiving the PC Engine mini. Check out the games that will be included in the new mini console below:

North American and European versions:

  • R-Type
  • New Adventure Island
  • Ninja Quest
  • Ys Book I & II
  • Dungeon Explorer
  • Alien Crush

Japanese version:

  • Super Star Soldier
  • The Kung Fu/China Warrior
  • Bonk’s Adventure
  • Dracula X
  • Ys Book I & II
  • Dungeon Explorer

There’s sure to be more titles revealed in the future, especially since we haven’t learned of a release date or pricing point for the console yet. And for those yearning for a mini console fix soon, Sega will be unleashing their Genesis/Master System Mini later this year on September 19, 2019.
