The newest JRPG to makes its home on the Switch console, Octopath Traveler, might be heading over to the PC as a Korean rating committee show the title to be landing on PC and published by regular Korean Square Enix publisher Bandai Namco.
The vintage looking JRPG released exclusively for the Switch back in 2018 and was known as one of the standout exclusives for the hybrid console from last year. Developed by Square Enix, the game hearkens back to the 8/16 bit pixel days while introducing a skewed camera angle creating what the developers call “HD-2D”.
Currently, we also know of a spin-off title for mobile devices called Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent which takes players into the world before the events of the original title.
As of now, there has been no confirmation from Square Enix about porting over the classic styled JRPG, but it would make a good home for PC players. Stay tuned for any other details regarding a PC release of Octopath Traveler.
