At the PC press conference earlier today, Cliffy B. talked for a time about his next crazy and over-the-top arena FPS now known as Lawbreakers. Previously under the working title BlueStreak, this new entry in the current renaissance of old-school arena shooter is still a threat and Bleszinski was eager to speak of the game’s overall look and level of polish at the moment. The game still looks quite good, as evidence by this brand new trailer that played at the press conference right after his announcement:
Cliff was very honest about the status of Lawbreakers in terms of it balance and basically said that it is not balanced at all. It is not everyday that you have a member of the game development community, a living legend of a game developer like Cliff Bleszinski no less, making that sort of admission. That level of candor is very humbling. Cliff is now reaching to players to help test the game so that elements like the balance can be finer tuned and, hopefully, perfected. Lawbreakers is definitely no slouch when it comes to the graphics and the overall character that has been injected into this title so far.
With that, he announced that registration for a closed alpha test session is now open on June 18 from 9:00am to 9:00pm PDT and June 19 from 6:00am to 6:00pm PDT later this month. The content currently available for this alpha is the Grandview Map on the Overcharge Game Mode with eight playable characters. The team over at Boss Key Productions really want to make this game as amazing as possible, so if have even the slightest of interest in this upcoming title then head over to the Lawbreakers site for more details. Lawbreakers is still set to release sometime this year.
