Psychological horror lovers finally got to see first gameplay trailer of their anticipated title, Layers of Fear 2 at PAX East 2019. The approximately 9-minute demo provided much more information on the gameplay and atmosphere of the game, which seems to have more to offer in comparison to the first title of the series. Although Layers of Fear 2 hasn’t got any release date yet, but the development team tries to make it available till the end of 2019, but there is a bad news here for Switch owners that the game will not appear on Nintendo’s console at launch.
During an Interview with Gun Media’s creative director at PAX East, when the publisher was asked about whether Layers of Fear 2 will get a Switch version or not, Ronnie Hobbs answered:
Our official statement is no Switch at launch.
Although its disappointing for Switch owners, it seems that the game will finally hit Nintendo’s current-gen platform, as first title of the franchise released with all the DLCs for Switch previously.
While Layers of Fear 2 will be loyal to the original mechanics and features of the series, it’s going to follow a whole new story and characters according to the development team’s interviews at PAX East. It will take you about 8 to 9 hours to complete the game, if you dare to play it all with no stop in between.
Layers of Fear 2 is set to be released this year for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
