FromSoftware’s highly anticipated Elden Ring has been unveiled with a new teaser trailer that has leaked online.
Labeled as “Bandai Namco confidential” and including a superimposed text reading “an all-new fantasy action RPG”, the clip shows a character mounted on horseback, traveling through several areas in what appears to be a huge open-world littered with what seems like a fallen civilization. The trailer also reveals the fight with a fire-breathing dragon and another sword-wielding foe.
Following its announcement on the E3 2019 fans have been eagerly waiting to see more from the collaboration of Game of Thrones’ creator Geroge R.R. Marting and Midetaka Miyazaki, however, not much has been revealed in two years after its announcements.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier affirms that the project has been “delayed a bunch” according to insider’s information adding that “ there is strong evidence floating around that the game will be shown relatively soon.”

If Schreier’s information is accurate, the game has been delayed several times due to internal problems caused by COVID-19 and remote work. Being said that, he affirms to have tangible information that confirms the game’s development, the studio will be ready to reveal the game in the upcoming months. Fans are anticipating that the game could be unveiled at an upcoming Xbox Showcase in March but Xbox has debunked the rumors.
Phil Spencer affirmed to had played “quite a bit” of Elden Ring in late 2020, the executive claims that RPG it’s the most ambitious project from Hidetaka Miyazaki.
“As somebody who’s played all of Miyazaki’s games, over at least the last decade, this is clearly the most ambitious game that he’s done,” Spencer said. “I love his games, but seeing some of the gameplay mechanics stuff that he’s tackling, he and the team are tackling this time, of the setting, working with another creator in terms of story. I love it. I love to see him challenging himself.”
