Life is Strange: Double Exposure Gets New powers Deep Dive Trailer

Publisher Square Enix and developer Deck Nine Games have released a new trailer for the upcoming Life is Strange title Life is Strange: Double Exposure. The trailer showcases Max’s powers as she shifts between two parallel timelines. This is done through her new Pulse ability that allows her to glimpse opposite timelines before jumping through. Life is Strange: Double Exposure will launch on October 29 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. It will also launch for Nintendo Switch at a later date.

Additional details via the publisher:

In addition to exploring Max Caulfield’s newly evolved power to Shift between two parallel timelines, the deep dive also focused on her new Pulse ability. Pulse allows Max to glimpse the opposite timeline before jumping through, since danger isn’t limited to just one timeline. With Pulse, Max can also overhear conversations happening on the other side, which is the perfect supernatural tool for an amateur sleuth.

Max will need to use both aspects of her new power to solve her friend Safi’s impossible murder. As Max Shifts back and forth between two increasingly different timelines, her power allows the player to complete unique puzzles, navigate complex campus social dynamics and explore all the mysteries that Caledon University has to offer.

The game’s details via the publisher:

Max Caulfield, photographer-in-residence at the prestigious Caledon University, discovers her closest new friend, Safi, dead in the snow. Murdered. To save her, Max tries to Rewind time—a power she’s not used in years… instead, Max opens the way to a parallel timeline where Safi is still alive, and still in danger! Max realizes the killer will soon strike again—in both versions of reality. With her new power to Shift between two timelines—can Max solve and prevent the same murder?
