Light Tracer Set to Launch September 26th on PlayStation VR

Oasis Games Ltd, a leading independent Chinese publisher, announced today that it will launch its upcoming Puzzle Platform VR game, Light Tracer, September 26th for PlayStation VR in North America and Europe.

Check out the story trailer of Light Tracer, featuring a bit of the games’ story:

“As seen in today’s new Story Trailer, players will lead a princess to the top of an enigmatic, Babel-like tower to save her ailing people. In the game, players will make use of awesome powers through their two godlike hands: One wielding a Light Staff to guide the princess and the other manipulating the world of the tower to get the best view to create a safe path for her.

The game will release one week after the September 19th PS4™ launch of HIDDEN DRAGON LEGEND, a 2.5D Action Platforming game set in Imperial China, giving PlayStation® gamers two distinct platforming experiences from Oasis Games within the span of seven days. The company also revealed that LIGHT TRACER will be shown at this year’s Tokyo Game Show at Makuhari Messe September 21-24, allowing players to experience the game before its launch. The game has previously been successfully exhibited at Gamescom 2017 and PAX West 2017, where it earned raves from VR fans. The title has also won for Best Kids and Family Game during 19th annual Indie Prize Awards at Casual Connect USA.

“The LIGHT TRACER team is building a VR game that will create a lofty experience for lovers of both puzzle and platform games,” said Alen Wu, Director of Business Development at Oasis Games. “Wit, creativity and reflexes are all needed to help the Princess reach the top of the tower to save her people—and it promises to be a very entertaining journey!”

LIGHT TRACER combines platform-style movement and clever puzzles with unique play mechanics and delightful artwork. The Light Staff guides the Princess forward while the player manipulates the world using a second Move controller to get a better view and interact with objects to open paths. Players will guide the Princess through action-platform stages using jumping skills, precise timing and strategic attacks using the Princess’s sword—or clever avoidance—to get around enemies. They must also engage with mind-bending puzzles in each of the game’s eight chapters comprising different environments such as an earthy world of rock-throwing trolls, an icy world with deadly snowmen and a world filled with mechanical contraptions. Often the solution depends not only on your intellect, but also the way you look at things—if you can’t see where the Princess should go, you can’t guide her there!

Developed by Void Dimensions and published by Oasis Games for PS VR, LIGHT TRACER will be available September 26th on the PlayStation®Store in North America and select European territories. This game has been rated “E for Everyone” by the ESRB. As seen in today’s new Story Trailer, players will lead a princess to the top of an enigmatic, Babel-like tower to save her ailing people.
