Gamescom 2018: Luigi’s Mansion for Nintendo 3DS Will be Releasing on October 12th

Nintendo announced today at Gamescom 2018, that their popular GameCube classic, Luigi’s Mansion, will be coming to the Nintendo 3Ds on October 12th this year, bringing new features and will be the first time this GameCube title can be played on the go. One of the new features added to the game is a new battle gallery mode that will allow players to battle the bosses of the game after they are defeated in the story.

About the game

In the Luigi’s Mansion game, a Nintendo 3DS remake of the spooky Nintendo GameCube game, Luigi must enter a sprawling mansion equipped with nothing but his trusty flashlight and Poltergust 3000, a vacuum-like contraption used to capture ghosts, find treasure and solve puzzles.

This is the first time the Nintendo GameCube classic can be played on the go. This updated version of the game includes the same classic adventure, but with some added features perfect for Nintendo’s popular portable systems. Using the bottom touch screen on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, players can view the mansion map.

In the new Gallery Battle Mode, exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game, Luigi will have the ability to re-challenge boss ghosts that were defeated in the game.

Features:

  • Save Mario for a change: overcome ghastly ghosts, mind-melting puzzles, and Luigi’s own clumsiness
  • Challenge bosses to rematches and see if you can up your score in the new Gallery Battle Mode
  • Survey the mansion map, track down ghostly Boos, and pinpoint ghosts’ weak points with the Game Boy Horror
  • Elemental medals enable the Poltergust 3000 to blow fire or shoot water to beat puzzles and ghosts

Luigi’s Mansion will launch for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems at a suggested retail price of $39.99.
