Mario Golf: Super Rush Unveiled at Nintendo Direct

During today’s Nintendo Direct Mario Golf: Super Rush was unveiled, the game will launch for Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2021.

Mario Golf: Super Rush features up to four players locally or online and golf with familiar Mushroom Kingdom characters. New modes range from Standard Golf to the energetic Speed Golf and an RPG-like golf adventure in story mode.

The reveal trailer also revealed that Camelot designed intuitive motion gameplay and the standard button controls. Novice players will be glad to know that a newly designed shot gauge has been added, the comprehensive gauge will adapt to the curve of the course and will make more predictable the course of the ball. Other new features are designed to make it easy for both new players and seasoned pros to enjoy games.

Check the unveil trailer down below:

Tee off at the same time with up to three other players and race through the course to get your ball in first. Outpace and interrupt your opponents with dashes and special shots. Luigi, for example, can freeze the green and King Bob-omb can pelt the course with bombs.
You’ll face off against your Mushroom Kingdom classmates and earn experience points. Level up to improve your character’s stats like power, movement, and spin. You can bring your character (and their customized stats) into other modes, too!

Mario Golf: Super Rush uses the Joy-Con’s motion controls to win your club. The multiplayer mode Speed Golf takes four players on a race on the same course to sink your golf ball first. There is also a story mode in which the player’s Mii rises the ranks from a Rookie to a Golf Pro in a similar way that Mario Tennis did it.

Mario Golf: Super Rush is being produced by Camelot, a Japanese video game development studio established in 1990 under the name Sonic! Software Planning. The studio was renamed in 2001 to its current name and has enjoyed a close relationship with Nintendo and created the Mario Tennis and Mario Golf series of sports games, as well as the role-playing video game series Golden Sun.
