Nintendo announced that the upcoming “Mario Party: Star Rush” will be launched for 3DS in November of this year.
Mario Party: Star Rush, players no longer have to wait for their turn as everyone moves at the same time. You can play with up to four players simultaneously, exploring different worlds and recruiting Mushroom Kingdom allies on the way.
The major new addition is Toad Scramble, a mode where all players move at once across an open map, racing to reach the boss and trigger a mini-game. Star Rush will feature seven play modes, and feature compatibility with Super Mario series amiibo figures. It also allows multiplayer with only one copy of the game, with a ‘Party Guest’ version available for download for free.
Other modes include the fast-paced mini-game gauntlet Coinathon, and Mario Shuffle, in which players maneuver three pieces to their opponent’s side of the board.
Mario Party game due out on November 4.
