Mario Strikers Battle League Announced During Nintendo Direct

After returning to Tennis, Golf, and Partying, It has been announced that Mario and his friend will be returning to compete in soccer thanks to the Mario Strikers Battle League, which was announced during the February Nintendo Direct. This will be the first time Mario and the game have played soccer since Mario Strikers Charged was released for the Wii in 2007.

This time around it will feature all your favorite mushroom kingdom residents competing in alternate reality arenas that combine two locales together. From there the game consists of four on four games consisting of the usual shenanigans fans of Mario Sports have come to expect.

This time around, the game includes some new editions to gameplay. For starters gear in the game can alter characters’ appearances, but will also alter their stats such as strength, speed, or shooting. Second, a new hyper strike move has been added to the game that will take time to power up but should it be executed will score two goals instead of one.

The game will feature local multiplayer, allowing up to eight players across two teams to link up and play together. If you can’t get friends together, the game will also feature an online multiplayer, featuring clubs that up to twenty players can join and compete for leaderboard supremacy in.

Mario Strikers Battle League will be available on June 10, 2022, with online pre-orders through the Nintendo Store being available now. It will not be much longer till you and your friends can take to the field using items, tackles, and hyper strikes to claim victory on the field. It will be available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch system and will require Nintendo Switch Online to use the online multiplayer components.
