Marvel just announced the re-release of its “Marvel Ultimate Alliance” and its sequel the “Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2” PS4, Xbox One, PC during the Comic-Con.
For those who can recall, the “Marvel Ultimate Alliance” was released back in 2006 for the PlayStation2, PlayStation 3, Xbox and Xbox 360 console. It follows previous Marvel titles “X-Men Legends” and “X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse.”
“Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2” is its sequel which focused on the Civil War storyline, specifically touching on the Superhuman Registration Act. Players get to choose whether they side with the Pro-Registration faction led by Iron Man or side with the Anti-Registration group headed by Captain America.
Nothing has been announced concerning a new game, but with a re-release of these old titles, we have to wonder if Marvel do have something up their sleeve.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 will return to consoles and PC on July 26

The Marvel Ultimate Alliance series will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, which executive producer Mike Jones believes now would be the most opportune time to re-introduce it to gamers. “It’s a perfect time to play these games if you missed them the first time or replay with new friends and new Super Hero dream teams,” he says in an interview conducted on Marvel.com.”
