In a press release given November 19, Square Enix announced its first new playable Super Hero for the recently released Marvel’s Avengers will be Kate Bishop, releasing as a part of Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM, available December 8, 2020. The free additional content comes with more than the new hero, however. Alongside Bishop comes a new powerful villain, the Super Adaptoid, who can mimic the playable heroes skills, abilities, and attacks. Build up to the release started a few weeks ago, when new Tachyon missions appeared at the in-game War Tables. Now, in Taking AIM, Bishop must find Nick Fury and Clint Barton (Hawkeye) after they both mysteriously disappear following the events of A-day. After discovering the time-warping Tachyon Rifts have something to do with the disappearances and AIM’s newest plan for global conquest, Bishop decides to rejoin the Avengers to fight against the corporation. Taking AIM is the first half of a two part Hawkeye Story Arc, Clint Barton’s Hawkeye and subsequent story come in early 2021, according to developers, with more story and character installments to come throughout the year. With the announcement of Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4 in early 2021, as well, fans are teeming with anticipation at what heroes will come next.A WAR TABLE Deep Dive on Kate Bishop was released alongside this announcement, giving a more in depth explanation of the hero and her abilities. Marvel’s Avengers is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. Operation: Kate Bishop – Taking AIM will be available December 8, 2020, with the second half of the Hawkeye Story Arc coming in early 2021.
