MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is Out Now

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

has been released today on Epic Games Store and will cost $49.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the collectors edition. MechWarrior 4: Vengeance was the last single-player focused game to come out for the series, and that was back in 2000. Here is the trailer for those who haven’t seen it yet.

The new game uses a mission-driven campaign. The player will either lead AI-controlled mechs into battle or be able to play with up to three friends in online co-op. The game also contains destructible environments.

Whether the player is going solo or teaming up with friends, the strategy to MechWarrior 5 is being able to balance risk, reward, and consequence. This is most notably done in the Mech Bay where players can customize their loadout and strategize for the next mission. Bringing the necessary equipment for the given mission is vital for success.

There are eight short story installments available to anyone interested in order to catch up on what is going on in this ever-expanding universe. They can be downloaded on the MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries webpage.
