Microsoft has revealed new information about one of the best Xbox Series X’s features ahead of the new generation of console, Xbox Smart Delivery will feature Gears 5, Halo Infinite, and Destiny 2 at launch.
Here at Xbox, we’re building the future of gaming by putting players first and ensuring that you are at the center and in control of your gaming experience.
Putting players first also means introducing a host of new features and technologies to improve their experience.
The team at Xbox explains why Smart Delivery is one of the most exciting features of Xbox Series X, the new technology will allow players to play the “best” version of an game for the right console. This means that, a non-gen exclusive Series X game, could be played on Xbox One, running an adequate version, or settings, for the current gen console. At the reveal of the Xbox Series X, Microsoft defined the new technology as an empowerment to buyers to spend only once on a desired game.
Smart Deliver is not limited to games that purchased digitally; physical discs of Xbox games can also support Smart Delivery if the developer or publisher decides to implement it. Microsoft has given a list of games that are already optimized for next gen and will be available for Xbox Series X at launch.

According to Major Nelson the Xbox Series X’s 12 teraflops, matched with Microsoft’s Variable Rate Shading and Hardware-Accelerated DirectX Raytracing will allow players to get a new experience from older Xbox games, players can expect“steadier framerates, faster load times and improved resolution and visual fidelity.”
