Microsoft To Showcase Xbox Series X Games on May 7

Microsoft has announced the reveal of Xbox Series X gameplay on the next Inside Xbox stream. Live on May 7, the livestream will focus entirely on the next gen games to be available for the Xbox Series X. Is confirmed that games to be shown comes from Microsoft’s “global developers partners”. Xbox Games Studio titles will be revealed on a different event.

Is also confirmed that during the event, Ubisoft will unveil gameplay for Assassins’ Creed Valhalla as it was revealed via Twitter.

“So pumped to see our partners showing us a first look at Xbox Series X gameplay next week,” says Aaron Greenberg, general manager of Xbox games marketing. “Also know the Xbox Game Studios teams are hard at work on some big summer plans. More details soon!””

Back on April 14, it was rumored that Microsoft had planed two Inside Xbox events,

one on May and one on June that is the replacement of the E3 2020. The leak affirmed that on May Microsoft would host the first Inside Xbox focused on third-party games developed for Xbox Series X, and a proper console reveal by Phil Spencer. This rumor gave more information about some of the games that will be unveiled at Inside Xbox

Fable is one of these showcase games. A fantasy monster. I haven’t seen it personally, but I got told it looks beautiful. They try to build the whole fantasy world with hand-crafted photogrammetry, yet the world will throw in a mix of procedural generation for bigger scale. Complete RPG systems in place, focus on great third-person fights and fluid animations. From the sounds of it, I expect the game to hit in 2022.

Big exclusive new IP coming from a Japanese studio. No further details known.

Halo Infinite has a huge open-world you can explore, yet the story missions themselves are linear to still be able to progress through the story in a more classic way. Optional exploration. It’s a much more ambitious campaign this time around, not your usual 6-9 hours Halo campaign. They are doing one very bold move for multiplayer, which will surprise people, but this move has the potential bring Halo MP back among the top played games on Xbox.

Microsoft’s Inside Xbox goes live on May 7th at 8AM PT / 11AM ET.
