Microsoft’s Xbox Series X Ports Leaked

Microsoft showcased a 3d image of the Xbox Series X for their presentation at CES 2020, at this presentation Microsoft did not revealed any of the supported ports for the next-gen system. But today Brad Sams from Thurrott got the information and confirmation from insiders, the supported ports of the system has now been leaked.

“I was able to confirm with several insiders about the actual ports on the current early iterations of the hardware.” wrote Brad Sams at Thurrott.

The image above shows the supported ports, the location of the ports might appear different when the console releases.

Brad Sams is a reliable source of information for the Microsoft products, and has over a decade working as a gaming journalist, but as there is no official confirmation from Microsoft, this should still taken as a rumor.

From what it can be seen, the Xbox Series X will feature two SuperSpeed USB-A ports, ethernet, optical audio, power connection and just one HDMI port.  The other port is suggested by Thurrott that will be used for debugging purpose.

A lot of information has recently been revealed or leaked for the next generation console, just a couple of days ago, fans around the world got the confirmation that the Microsoft’s Xbox Series X code-named Scarlett will support 8K resolutions for games.

Microsoft promises that their Scarlett project “will set a new bar for console power, speed and performance”.

“With a custom-designed AMD processor, high bandwidth GDDR6 memory, and a next generation solid state drive (SSD), Project Scarlett will give developers the power they need to bring their creative visions to life. Thousands of games across four console generations will look and play best on Project Scarlett.”
