The version update will be called Monster Hunter Frontier Z, and will not only see the online Monster Hunter game arrive to PS4, but will also see the Monster Hunter G series on PS3, Vita, PC, Wii U and Xbox 360 update to version Z.
Monster Hunter Frontier Z will launch on November 22nd on PS4 and the Z-version update arrives to existing platform on November 9th in Japan.
Monster Hunter Frontier was originally launched for PC in 2007, and then adapted to consoles. The versions of PS3 and PS Vita share data and gameplay, so PS4 may also use the same servers. The content of Monster Hunter Frontier Z has not been detailed, but more monsters and missions are expected to be added.
Check out the Trailer:
“Sadly, Ono didn’t roll out any details on what the PS Vita version of the game would entail, but simply that they were exploring that route. I’m more enticed by the idea that a North American port of Monster Hunter Frontier G is inbound for the Wii U. That alone opens up a lot of doors for strong third-party support for the Wii U that it so desperately needs. Even with Nintendo hunkering down and getting serious about software support for the system, they’ll still need third-party support one way or another.”
