During today’s Monster Hunter showcase, Capcom announced the release date for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, which is officially July 9, 2021.
During the digital event, Capcom showed off the co-op mode for the game, which is expected to add a whole lot more replay value.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is the sequel to the Nintendo 3DS title Monster Hunter Stories released in 2016. Taking the role of a young Monster Rider who can use a rare Kinship Stone to form strong bonds with monsters, is up to players to investigate the massive disappearance of Rathalos around the world. Players will gain experience and improve their skills to form deeper connections with wonderful creatures.
Players will team up with a mysterious egg-holding Wyverian girl named Ena who seems to be familiar with your grandfather, a famed Monster Hunter known as Red.
Capcom also confirmed that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will launch with three new amiibo which are, Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tsukino. Players will also be able to link save data from Monster Hunter Rise which will give the user the Kamura Garb armor.
Also announced during today’s showcase was an update for the demo for Monster Hunter Rise, the update extends the lifespan of the original demo while adding a new, harder quest that has players taking on Rise‘s signature monster Magnamalos. The new demo will be available on the Nintendo Switch’s eShop from March 11.
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin offers both RPG and Monster Hunter fans a unique new experience with a rich storyline featuring charming characters, challenging quests, and friendly encounters with familiar monsters from the Monster Hunter series. When ready, players can embark on memorable adventures filled with dramatic events and heartwarming friendships as the epic tale unfolds.
