Monster Hunter World comes to PC in August

Monster Hunter World comes to PC in August

PC users will be pleased with this announcement, as Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter World is coming to Windows PC via Steam on August 9th. This PC version of the game was originally scheduled for release this fall, this means that PC fans of the series will get Monster Hunter World a bit earlier than expected.

All the event quests and additional content updates that have been released as post-launch content for the console versions will be coming to PC as free updates. That includes the quests that give special collaboration gear, like the ones based on the Street Fighter, Mega Man and Devil May Cry franchises. Capcom will be revealing the launch dates of these free contents on its official Twitter page.

“Capcom teased a PC announcement over the weekend, that the release date was coming. Not long after Capcom’s teaser, Monster Hunter: World PC’s system requirements reportedly leaked on Tencent’s WeGame platform. The game will be distributed on Steam.

With the PC version locked down, the Nintendo Switch will be left out as the one console missing out on the game. Instead, the Switch will be getting its own Monster Hunter title this August, called Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Generations is an updated version of the 3DS game of the same name. Ultimate has been out in Japan since August of last year.”
