Thanks to the provided budget by fans and backers, Mordhau released on PC last week and despite some major issues in matchmaking system that somehow caused receiving negative feedback for the game, Triternion confirmed its latest title has sold nearly 500K units just in the launch week.
Mordhau is a multiplayer first-person action games that allows you to experience hand to hand battles in an era similar to crusades where 64 warriors with different weapons and armors enter to the battleground to kill the enemies and win matches through delivered game modes.
Along with announcing the number of sales, Triternion also assured fans that the team is aware of all the annoying issues that have caused troubles over the last week and while some of them like matchmaking system have got major improvements, other bugs and performance issues have been addressed and will be solved by the release of upcoming patch. The studio said:
Unfortunately the launch wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped. Server performance was abysmal and reward drops such as Gold and XP, as well as unlocks were not functioning properly. We are still in the process of seting up new servers in regions that need them and as a result the Matchmaking can still be spotty. There’s also some other Matchmaking related bugs that prevent parties from joining the same game, or BR lobbies to populate very slowly, but we’re on top of that. All things considered, the majority of launch issues have been resolved. As for compensation of the lost Gold and XP. We have not forgotten about it and will be shipping it via the next patch.
Mordhau is available on Steam for $29.99 as a full and completed game.
