During the special Yakuza 5 event to commemorate the launch of the remaster of the game, series producer Daisuke Sato spoke with Gamebase.com.tw and hinted at some more details to be announced this coming July.
“At this time, that is not a question I can answer. On July 10, we will announce the supporting actress for the new title, as well as share the latest information on the new title, so please look forward to it.” – Yakuza Producer, Daisuke Sato
So, along with announcement of the actress for the supporting role next to protagonist Ichiban Kasuga, fans will also finally learn a bit more on the game. With the recent release of Judgment – which is a different Yakuza spin-off title – it seems as though Sega will keep the ball rolling with details on what should be the next project in the series.
Be sure to check back on July 10, 2019 once more details are shared for the new Yakuza title. The new title will star Yakuza Online’s protagonist Ichiban Kasuga and will release on the PS4.
