Nether Realm has a great history in making fighting games and nearly most of this history have been made by Mortal Kombat franchise, which saw its latest entry coming out just a few days ago. Mortal Kombat 11 was almost what most of the reviewers expect to get and you can find out that with a look at review scores at Metacritic. Although its final Metascore is equal to 2015’s Mortal Kombat X, but in term of sales, Mortal Kombat 11 represented a record-breaking performance with gaining the gold medal for most successful launch within the whole franchise.
According to Warner Bros. Interactive’s president David Haddad at GamesBeat Summit 2019 in LA, Mortal Kombat 11 has experienced the biggest launch in the series, and we are hearing this just two days after the game became available on stores. Nether Realm’s latest title is expected to take over the first place in this week’s UK Sales chart, despite the release of Days Gone which got mediocre reception from media.
Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t the first anticipated fighting title of the year, but regarding its long history within the gaming industry, you cannot expect from the genre fans to ignore such a great title. On the other hand, with the release of Mortal Kombat 11 for Nintendo Switch on the same time as for other platforms, the eye-catching number for sales doesn’t seem to be so much surprising.
