Aside from deep and extensive gameplay that all Mortal Kombat titles feature so far, the series always known for its interesting campaign mode with lots of story-lines colliding each other to drop as a complicated piece of story with so many characters within the game. Mortal Kombat 11 is no exception for the franchise, as its going to feature the longest story mode in the series so far.
According to an interview with assistant producer at Nether Realm, Matt Burke, Mortal Kombat 11 will feature “the biggest” story mode that the studio has “ever done.” He said:
This is definitely the biggest story mode we’ve ever done, in terms of the length. It’s quite long, and I’m very excited for everyone to play it. Kronika is a super cool boss character, a big bad female character. We’re all excited around the studio about that.
Having the past and present kind of merge together, getting to see past Lui Kang run into his evil ‘revenant-leader-of-the-NetherRealm-self’ while he’s still the chosen one. The paragons of virtue, as they both see themselves as that. We have tons of moments like that.
Kronika is the only unplayable character in Mortal Kombat 11 who will be your final boss during the campaign. The story of upcoming Mortal Kombat will probably include more game-changer moments, as its going to get more complicated with the collision of past and present events.
