MultiVersus Gets The Powerpuff Girls in Season 3

Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games announced that the Powerpuff Girls and Nubia, Queen of The Amazons will be added as playable characters in the upcoming third season of the free-to-play fighting game MultiVersus. The trailer showcases the girls along with their abilities and special moves. MultiVersus is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The full details can be seen below:

Based on the superhero trio from the popular animated series, The Powerpuff Girls will be available when MultiVersus Season 3 launches on September 17. DC Super Hero and new Queen of The Amazons, Nubia, will arrive later in the season.

The heavy hitting, superpowered trio of Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles will be flying in from Townsville to put all bad guys in their place. In the new trailer, The Powerpuff Girls’ fighting skills as an Assassin class character are on full display, including their unique team up abilities to punch, kick, and bash opponents together as one cohesive wrecking machine, along with each taking turns as the leader to put their own spin on special moves. The video also provides a first look at the Rowdyruff Boys and Dynamo Suits character variants for The Powerpuff Girls available on September 17, along with a new battle-torn “Destroyed” version of the City of Townsville map that fans of the series will recognize, coming later in the season.

Additionally, Season 3 will add the new “Midnight Showing” map, allowing players to battle against the backdrop of the movie theater locale inspired by the Gremlins (1984) film.
