Based on the strategy board game, Mythic Battles: Pantheon has gathered a lot of supports from fans in its first day Kickstarter campaign.
It is based on a board game published by Monolith Board Games that, itself, was a KickStarter sensation, with more than 13,000 backers in a first campaign and more than 10,000 in a second campaign, raking in more than $3.7 million of pledges overall. It will bring the rich universe of this board game to life with state-of-the-art visuals and animations, while relying on its solid, proven gameplay.
In Mythic Battles: Pantheon players will assume the role of an Olympian God and fight beside the greatest heroes, monsters and warriors in an alternate history of Ancient Greece.
Mythic Battles: Pantheon is expected to boast a rich, tightly crafted turn-based strategy game for PC, Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Online multiplayer will be available, players can also battle against the AI. Mythic Battles: Pantheon is a free-for-all mode for 2 to 4 players, and a 2-vs-2 mode.
We view the “Mythic Battles: Pantheon” video game as an extension of the board game, bringing you its rich universe in a more readily accessible format.
We strive to stay as faithful as we can to the original gameplay, implementing the rules as they are in the board game. But we also hope to extend the appeal beyond the core audience of the board game, and this is why we are also keen on enabling optional shortcuts to offer a more straightforward experience.
