Nature-Inspired Action Game, Away: The Survival Series, Announced

During Sony’s second episode of their State of Play showcase series fans were treated to a new reveal of a nature-inspired third-person adventure title, Away: The Survival Series. The announcement came with a beautifully detailed trailer which gives us a look at what to expect in the upcoming adventure game.

Check out the announcement trailer from the State of Play showcase for Away below:

Away puts players into the role of a Suger Glider as you embark on a journey to survive against looming natural disasters. The game is heavily inspired by nature documentaries and has players exploring a lively world that surrounds the agile little marsupial.

The game looks to challenge players with a mix of platforming mechanics, stealth and various combat scenarios throughout the often dangerous ecosystem. But other predators looking to prey on the tiny critter at the bottom of the food chain aren’t the only perils that lie in your way, as a series of natural disasters also threatens all wildlife within the vast wilderness.

There’s currently no release window for Away: The Survival Series, though we can expect for details later down the line. Away is scheduled to release on both the PS4 and PC.
