The next entry for NBA 2K series officially announced via 2K Games by revealing a brief teaser, release date, target platforms and contents for each edition of NBA 2K20.
NBA 2K20 is going to launch this Fall on September 6th while the developer names it as the next generation of basketball simulation games. The game will feature Anthony Davis as the cover athlete for Standard and Deluxe Editions, while Dwayne Wade will be appearing on the Legend Edition. The next installment for best-selling basketball franchise of the world in the history of video games will be hitting PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and Stadia. Here is the first teaser trailer of the game:
Anthony Davis, the man who has experienced the championship in NBA for three times, told about his excitement on being the cover athlete for NBA 2K series once again. He said:
I’m honored to be back representing NBA 2K. Being picked as the face of NBA 2K20 means the world to me, and I’m excited for the fans to experience the best sports simulation in the world this Fall.
On the other hand, Dwayne Wade, the cover athlete for Legend Edition added:
I’ve been blessed to spend 16 years of my life playing the game I love at the highest-level, and to culminate my career by joining NBA greats as an NBA 2K Legend Edition cover star makes me incredibly proud. My family and I love NBA 2K, and I’m truly grateful to all of the fans who have watched me, and played as me, throughout the years.
Alfie Brody, vice president of marketing for NBA 2K20, also described how Davis and Wade represent the all aspects of basketball as a global phenomenon. He said:
The NBA 2K franchise has the distinct honor of selecting the league’s best talent to grace the cover of the game. Anthony and Dwyane represent everything that makes basketball such a global phenomenon – whether it’s the thunderous dunks, transcendent talent or era-defining legacies – and serve as a true inspiration for the next generation of NBA superstars coming up in the league.
