It was announced by Inside Out Games, that they launched the Kickstarter campaign of Negative_Space with a goal of $7,000 and will run through December 16th until 7:58PM MST.
Check out the Kickstarter trailer of Negative_Space, featuring some gameplay footage:
“Close your eyes and imagine the tight platforming of Super Meat Boy, with the black and white aesthetic of Shift, and the puzzle solving shifting mechanic of Time Fcuk. Now open your eyes.
Negative_Space is a challenging black and white 2D platformer where you have to alternate in and out of two versions of the same room in order to reach the portal at the end of the level. Using precision platforming and perfectly timed switching between rooms you’ll have to navigate room after room of spikes, projectiles, and other hazards if you hope to survive.
A demo of the game was shown at The Southwest Video Game Showcase at Phoenix Comic-Con earlier this year in May where Negative_Space managed to win the Juiciest Game Award and was runner up for the Player’s Choice Award against almost a dozen other independent games.
“It’s difficult, but fair.” says creator Justin Carter. “I wanted to make a game where each level felt challenging, but not impossible. A game where you die ten times and tell yourself, just one more try, then before you know it you’ve been playing for over an hour.
