The RPG series Hyperdimension Neptunia is making a move into the classic shoot ’em up genre with their latest PC release, Neptunia Shooter. The title is headed to Steam later this year and will include arcade bullet-hell action set to the theme of the Neptunia series.
Players will take control of series main hero Neptune and blast their way through a bullet-hell arcade experience across six different stages. What makes this particular shmup experience a bit different form the rest is that upon defeating each level’s end Goddess boss, they will join up with Neptune, allowing players to switch between five different characters each with their own attack patterns.
The game will also come with online leader boards to help those top-tier shooters show off their twitching dodge skills.
As of this writing, there’s currently no set release date for Neptunia Shooter, but it is slated to hit PC via Steam sometime in 2019. Stay tuned for any official news and/or release dates for Neptunia Shooter.
